Billing & Subscriptions

Manage your Adsu subscription, view invoices, and update payment methods.

How Adsu Billing Works

Adsu uses Stripe for subscription billing. Your Adsu subscription is completely separate from the Stripe account connected to your gym's point-of-sale system. The gym Stripe connection reads your revenue data for attribution. The Adsu billing Stripe handles your Adsu subscription payments. These are two independent Stripe integrations that never interact with each other.

Billing is per location

Adsu subscriptions are scoped per location. If you manage multiple gym locations, each location has its own subscription. This means you can have different plans for different locations, and adding or removing a location does not affect the others.

Viewing Your Current Plan

To see your current subscription details, go to Settings > Billing in the Adsu dashboard. This page shows:

  • Current plan -- the plan name and pricing tier for your selected location
  • Billing cycle -- whether you are on a monthly or annual plan, and when the next payment is due
  • Payment method -- the card on file for this subscription
  • Usage -- a summary of your current usage for the billing period

Upgrading or Downgrading

You can change your plan at any time from the billing page. Click Change Plan to see available options. When you upgrade or downgrade:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to your current plan features until the cycle ends.

Plan changes are handled through Stripe's billing portal, which opens in a new tab when you click the change plan button. After making your selection, you will be redirected back to the Adsu dashboard.

Updating Your Payment Method

To update the credit or debit card on file, click Manage Payment Method on the billing page. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can:

  • Add a new card
  • Remove an existing card
  • Set a default payment method

Changes to your payment method take effect immediately for all future charges on that location's subscription.

Viewing Invoices

A full history of invoices is available on the billing page. Each invoice shows the date, amount, plan, and payment status. Click on any invoice to view the full details or download a PDF for your records.

Invoices are also emailed to the account owner's email address when each payment is processed. If you need invoices sent to a different email (for example, an accounting department), you can update the billing email in the Stripe billing portal.

Failed Payments and Grace Period

Past-due subscriptions

If your subscription becomes past due, Adsu locations will be deactivated after a 3-day grace period. During the grace period, your dashboard remains fully accessible and all data continues syncing. After the grace period, data syncing pauses and the dashboard shows a billing alert. Reactivation happens automatically when payment is resolved -- no action needed beyond updating your payment method.

When a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge several times over the following days. You will receive email notifications about the failed payment with a link to update your payment method. To avoid any interruption in service:

  1. Check the email from Stripe for details about the failed charge
  2. Go to Settings > Billing in the Adsu dashboard
  3. Click Manage Payment Method and update your card
  4. Stripe will automatically retry the charge with the new payment method

Cancelling Your Subscription

To cancel a location's subscription, click Cancel Subscription on the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Until then, you retain full access to all features and your data continues syncing.

After cancellation:

  • Data is preserved -- your historical attribution data, contacts, and campaign data are not deleted. If you resubscribe later, everything will still be there.
  • Syncing stops -- Adsu will stop pulling new data from Meta, Google, GHL, and Stripe once the subscription ends.
  • Dashboard becomes read-only -- you can still log in and view historical data, but real-time metrics will no longer update.

Resubscribing

If you cancel and later decide to come back, simply go to the billing page and choose a new plan. Adsu will reconnect your integrations and backfill any data gap from while you were away (up to 90 days). Your contacts, attribution history, and configuration are all preserved.
