Adsu vs WhatConverts

Is WhatConverts enough for a gym's ads?

Not on its own. WhatConverts shows which ad made the phone ring or the form fire, then stops: no booked or showed stage, and paid counts only when someone adds sales value by hand, CRM push or e-commerce event. It reads no gym billing system. Adsu follows that click or call to the paying member, per location, in one plan.

What WhatConverts does well

WhatConverts is lead tracking built for marketing agencies and the clients they report to; its own headline reads "Lead Tracking for Marketing Agencies and Clients" (whatconverts.com, as of September 2026). Inside that job it is thorough. Tracking phone numbers with dynamic number insertion show which campaign a caller saw. Calls are recorded and transcribed, routed by hours or location, and screened for spam. Forms and chats are captured beside the calls, so one lead list holds every inquiry, and an agency can put its own branding on the reports it sends the client.

Adsu is not a phone system. It has no tracking numbers, no call recording, no transcription and no IVR menu, and it is not trying to have them. Adsu credits the click or call to the ad that produced it and then follows the person after the inquiry: the appointment they booked, whether they showed, and the membership they paid for at the front desk. That is attribution in the sense a gym owner needs it, crediting a member and their revenue to the ad that produced them, rather than crediting a call.

Where it stops for a gym

A gym does not close on the phone. The call books a tour or a trial class; the tour shows or it doesn't; the front desk takes the first payment days or weeks later, and the renewals follow for as long as the member stays. WhatConverts has no stage for booked and none for showed. "Paid" exists only as a sales value that someone types onto the lead by hand, that a CRM pushes across, or that an e-commerce event carries, and a membership sold at the front desk is none of those three.

What goes back to Google Ads is a lead, not a member: the three triggers are "New Lead Received", "Sales Value Received or Added" and "Set as Quotable Lead", and Lead Intelligence, the rules that send qualified leads as conversions automatically, is on the Elite plan only, "$160 /mo" for one business or "$1250 /mo" for an agency (whatconverts.com/integrations/ad-platforms/google-adwords/ and whatconverts.com/pricing/, as of September 2026).

If your gym runs on HighLevel, the connection is one help article about tracking web forms; HighLevel is not in the WhatConverts integrations directory, and no gym billing system is either. The directory has 84 entries and none of them is Mindbody, WellnessLiving, PushPress, Zen Planner, Naamly, Stripe or Square (whatconverts.com/integrations/, as of September 2026). For a gym that is the whole problem in one line: the money lands at the front desk, not in the form, and the front desk is the one place WhatConverts cannot see. Adsu connects to HighLevel and to all seven billing systems; see integrations.

What it costs a gym

WhatConverts publishes its prices, and the door price is low. For one business, Call Tracking is "$30 /mo", Plus "$60 /mo", Pro "$100 /mo" and Elite "$160 /mo", and each plan "Includes $30 free usage credit". Beyond that credit, usage runs on a published meter: forms and chats at 10¢ each, texts at 3¢, transcription at 2¢ a minute, plus the numbers and minutes themselves (whatconverts.com/pricing/, as of September 2026).

Two lines on that pricing page matter more to an operator than the dollar figures. The first: "One account allows you to track leads for one business". Unlimited accounts come with the Agency plans, "$500 /mo", "$800 /mo" and "$1250 /mo". The second: Lead Intelligence, the rules above that send qualified leads automatically instead of every inquiry, is an Elite feature, so the plan that tells Google which leads were worth having sits at the top of the ladder, before any usage.

Adsu is one plan from $149 a month for every location you run, priced by the member revenue it tracks, with no per-location fee, no seats and no add-ons (pricing). The price steps with the revenue Adsu verified, so a slow month costs less. And the deal on the front page holds here: if your ad ROI doesn't grow, you don't pay.

The same nine columns the full comparison table uses for every tool, cut to two rows. Prices observed 11 September 2026. Each WhatConverts cell was read on its own site and links to the page it came from; Yes and No mean that page states it, means the page we read did not. Adsu's row links to this site. On a phone the table scrolls sideways and the tool column stays put.

Does WhatConverts tell you whether the caller joined?

No. WhatConverts knows the call happened, which ad produced it, what was said on it, and any sales value someone adds to the lead afterwards. Whether that caller walked in the following week and paid for a membership is outside what it can see, because the payment happens in the billing system, and WhatConverts connects to none of the ones gyms use.

Adsu answers from the other end. It reads the billing system the member pays through, matches the call to the payment record, and credits the membership, and each renewal after it, to the ad that made the phone ring. That is what turns cost per call into cost per member, by campaign and by location. CallRail's answer to the same question sits in its row of the comparison table.

When WhatConverts is the right call

If you are an agency reporting leads to dentists, real-estate offices and car dealers, and the client wants to hear the calls and see a report with your logo on it, WhatConverts is built for exactly that: its industry pages cover dental, real estate, automotive and health and wellness, and white-label reporting is a line in its plan table (whatconverts.com, as of September 2026). Its one mention of gyms is a four-item list on the health and wellness page, and the site has no gym customer story. A gym is a different business. The sale closes at the front desk, weeks after the call, in a billing system WhatConverts does not read. If you run ads for gyms and want to be judged on members rather than calls, the comparison for gyms is the place to start.

Questions, answered.

  • No. As of September 2026, the WhatConverts integrations directory lists 84 integrations and none of them is Mindbody, WellnessLiving, PushPress, Zen Planner, Naamly, Stripe or Square. A Mindbody payment never reaches WhatConverts, so it cannot tie a member to the call or click that produced them. Adsu reads all seven billing systems and credits each payment to the ad.

  • For web forms only. Its one HighLevel help article covers tracking form submissions, and HighLevel is not in its integrations directory, as of September 2026. That is the only HighLevel connection WhatConverts documents. Adsu connects to HighLevel as the CRM and to your billing system as the record of who paid, so booked, showed and paid all count.

  • A lead, with a value if one has been added. As of September 2026 its Google Ads integration fires on three triggers: "New Lead Received", "Sales Value Received or Added" and "Set as Quotable Lead". Sending qualified leads automatically (Lead Intelligence) is an Elite-plan feature. Adsu sends the stages a gym sells on, appointment booked, appointment showed and membership paid, so Google and Meta learn who joins rather than who fills in a form.

  • Only if you want recorded, transcribed calls — that is WhatConverts' job. Adsu does not import WhatConverts data; it credits the call from the ad click and matches the member from billing. Run Adsu for the revenue question and, if you want the recordings, keep WhatConverts for the phone.
