Is CallRail enough for a gym's ads?

Not on its own. CallRail tells you which ad made the phone ring, then records and routes the call. It only knows whether that caller booked, showed or paid if staff or a CRM enter it, and has no GoHighLevel or gym-billing connection. Adsu follows the caller to the membership payment, per location, and Google and Meta learn who paid.

What CallRail does well

CallRail is a call tracking product, and a good one. Call tracking means giving each ad, campaign or website visitor its own phone number, so when the front desk phone rings you know which ad made it ring. CallRail says 225,000+ businesses use it (callrail.com, as of September 2026). It offers dynamic number insertion (the number shown on your website changes by traffic source) and visitor-level numbers (callrail.com/call-tracking, as of September 2026), and every plan includes call recording, routing and transcription (callrail.com/pricing, as of September 2026).

It also closes a loop of its own: calls, texts and form fills are sent to Google Ads as conversions, so a campaign that makes the phone ring gets credit for the call (callrail.com/integrations/google-ads, as of September 2026). For a business where the call is the sale, that is most of the job.

Where CallRail stops for a gym

A ringing phone is a lead, and a lead is not a member. A gym's money arrives later: the caller books an intro, walks in, and pays through the billing system. Five things CallRail's own site says, as of September 2026, decide whether it can see that far.

  • Seven industries, none of them fitness.CallRail's Industries menu lists seven verticals; there is no gym page, case study or vertical anywhere on the site (callrail.com/pricing, as of September 2026).
  • No HighLevel integration.CallRail has no integration page for HighLevel (the CRM most gym owners still call GoHighLevel). It publishes a comparison page against it instead, treating the CRM as a competitor (callrail.com/callrail-vs-gohighlevel, as of September 2026).
  • No gym billing connection.None of Mindbody, WellnessLiving, PushPress, Zen Planner, Naamly, Stripe or Square appears among the 105 integration pages on callrail.com (callrail.com/sitemap.xml, as of September 2026). The membership payment is invisible to it.
  • Google Ads is told about the call, not the member. The Google Ads integration sends the call, text or form as a conversion; its value is set "manually or through a CRM integration" (callrail.com/integrations/google-ads, as of September 2026). Whether that caller paid is something a person or a CRM has to enter.
  • Form submissions N/A on the base plans. The pricing page shows "Form submissions N/A" on Lead Tracking and Lead Conversion; form attribution needs one of the two Complete plans (callrail.com/pricing, as of September 2026).

So CallRail knows the phone rang and which ad made it ring. It only knows whether that caller booked, showed or paid if staff or a CRM enter it, and in a gym that entry is the step that gets skipped on a busy Saturday.

CallRail pricing for a gym

CallRail publishes four plans, each "plus additional usage", priced monthly or yearly (callrail.com/pricing, as of September 2026):

  • Lead Tracking$55/mo monthly, $50/mo yearly.
  • Lead Tracking Complete$105/mo monthly, $95/mo yearly.
  • Lead Conversion$165/mo monthly, $150/mo yearly.
  • Lead Conversion Complete$215/mo monthly, $195/mo yearly.

Every plan includes 5 numbers, 250 minutes and 25 SMS a month. Past that, numbers are $3 each, minutes $0.06 each and SMS $0.03 each. Voice Assist, the AI answering add-on, "Starts at $95/month*", with this footnote: "*All plans include Lead Tracking starting at an additional $55. Additional $1/call after 50 Voice Assist calls over 15 seconds." (callrail.com/pricing, as of September 2026). What a gym pays depends on how many numbers and minutes it runs across its locations, so we do not quote a total; the pricing page is the place to add it up.

Adsu is one plan, priced by the member revenue it tracks, from $149/mo: every location on its own line, no per-location fees, no seats and no add-ons. A slow month costs less. See pricing.

What Adsu adds after the phone rings

Adsu answers the question a gym owner actually asks: which ad produced a paying member, and what did that member cost, per location? It follows the chain AI ad tracking walks through, from the first touch to the money, and we follow inbound calls and your business profiles too.

  1. 01
Click or callSomeone taps an ad, or picks up the phone. The visit is tied to the campaign that produced it.
  2. 02
EnquiryA name and a number: a person, not a session.
  3. 03
Appointment bookedA consult or intro lands on the calendar and goes back to Google or Meta as a win.
  4. 04
Appointment showedThey walked in. Booked and showed are different numbers, and only one of them pays.
  5. 05
Membership paidThe first payment clears in the billing system the member pays through (Mindbody, WellnessLiving, PushPress, Zen Planner, Naamly, Stripe or Square) and is credited to the ad, on that location’s line.
  6. 06
Every renewal afterEach renewal is credited back to the click or call that started the relationship.

Adsu does not read CallRail's data and does not need it. Adsu follows the inbound call to the paying member on its own, and the revenue comes from the billing system, not from a value someone typed into a CRM. The paid member and every renewal go back to Google and Meta as the win to optimize for, per location, so their targeting learns who pays rather than who calls. If we can't verify a stage, we don't count it.

Read across: both know which ad made the phone ring, and CallRail alone records, routes and transcribes the call. Only Adsu follows the caller to booked, showed and paid, takes revenue from gym billing, connects to HighLevel, and puts cost per member on each location’s own line. The biggest difference is what Google Ads is told: CallRail sends the call, text or form as a lead, with a value entered manually or by a CRM; Adsu sends the paid member and the renewals, per location.

When CallRail is the right buy

If you need tracking numbers, dynamic number insertion, call recording, routing, transcription or Voice Assist's AI answering, buy CallRail or a tool like it: Adsu does not provide any of those. Adsu answers a different question, which ad produced a paying member and what that member cost, per location. A gym that wants recordings for front-desk coaching and cost per member for its ad spend runs both, side by side, without connecting them.

Questions, answered.

  • No, as of September 2026. CallRail has no HighLevel integration page; it publishes a comparison page against GoHighLevel instead, treating the CRM as a competitor (callrail.com/callrail-vs-gohighlevel). Adsu connects to HighLevel as the CRM and reads your billing system as the truth about who paid.

  • No, as of September 2026. None of the 105 integration pages on callrail.com is for Mindbody, WellnessLiving, PushPress, Zen Planner, Naamly, Stripe or Square (callrail.com/sitemap.xml), so CallRail cannot see a membership payment. Adsu reads Mindbody and the other six as billing sources and credits each payment to the click or call that produced it.

  • Only if staff or a CRM enter it. CallRail records that the call happened and which ad produced it; its Google Ads integration sends the call as a lead with a value set "manually or through a CRM integration" (callrail.com/integrations/google-ads, as of September 2026). Adsu follows the caller through enquiry, booked, showed and paid, takes the payment from your billing system, and tells Google and Meta who joined, per location.

  • Four plans, as of September 2026 (callrail.com/pricing): Lead Tracking $55/mo monthly or $50/mo yearly, Lead Tracking Complete $105 or $95, Lead Conversion $165 or $150, and Lead Conversion Complete $215 or $195, each "plus additional usage" beyond 5 numbers, 250 minutes and 25 SMS ($3 per number, $0.06 per minute, $0.03 per SMS). Voice Assist "Starts at $95/month*" on top. A gym's total depends on its usage, so we do not quote one. Adsu is one plan from $149/mo, priced by tracked revenue, with no per-location fees.

  • For knowing which ad produced a paying member, yes. For tracking numbers, call recording and routing, no: Adsu does not replace those. Adsu follows the click or call to the membership payment and the renewals after it, per location, and sends the paid member back to Google and Meta. It does not read CallRail's data and does not need it.
