What is call tracking?
Call tracking is working out which ad or campaign made the phone ring, and what happened after. For a gym the useful version follows the caller to the front desk, so you know whether the caller joined.

Call tracking for gyms
For a lot of gyms the phone is the funnel. Someone sees the ad, taps the number, and the whole conversation happens with your front desk. No form, no click on a thank-you page, nothing for a pixel to record. If your tracking only sees the website, every one of those members shows up as "direct" or "unknown", and the ad that produced them gets no credit.
Call tracking as a category answers the first question: which ad made the phone ring. Most call tracking products are phone systems, and they are very good at that part: routing, recording, reporting on call volume by source. What they do not know is whether the caller joined, because the membership is sold at the desk and paid for in your billing system, and a phone system never sees either.
The version a gym needs treats a call like a click: capture the source, capture the person, follow them through booked, showed and paid. Then a Google Ads campaign whose members all came by phone stops looking like a failure. The stakes are real, because the phone-heavy campaign is often the one that produces the most members and the fewest form fills, and it is the first one a report built on forms will tell you to cut.
Where call tracking misleads: call volume. A campaign that makes the phone ring with people asking for opening hours is not a campaign that produces members. Count callers who joined, not calls.
How Adsu uses call tracking
Adsu follows inbound calls and your business profiles the same way it follows clicks: the call is a touch on the member’s journey, tied to the campaign that produced it, and the caller is followed to the enquiry, the booking, the show and the payment. Adsu counts verified stages only: if a stage cannot be verified, it is not counted. Every report is one line per campaign per location.
Adsu is not a phone system. It does not route, record or answer calls, and it does not replace the line your gym already uses; it reports on which calls became members. Adsu credits the last eligible touch inside the 30 days before the payment. Booked, showed and paid go back to Google as offline conversions and to Meta through the Conversions API.
Questions, answered.
Software that reports which marketing source produced each inbound call, with call volume, duration and often recordings by source. It is a phone system with reporting attached. It answers which ad made the phone ring; on its own it does not know whether the caller went on to join.
Yes. Adsu follows inbound calls and your business profiles alongside clicks, so a member who rang after seeing an ad is credited to that ad the same way a member who clicked would be. Adsu is not a phone system and does not replace the one your gym uses.
Because the platform sees the call and nothing after it. A call conversion in Google Ads counts the call, not the consult or the payment that followed, and those happen at your desk and in your billing system. Until something joins the caller to the payment and sends it back, the campaign is judged on calls alone.
